The Gudewife of Rhyme

The Gudewife first appeared in July 1996, during the course of an email correspondence which was entirely in rhyme. Initially, she was a fun alter ego, always eager to have a good time...as it turns out, that's all she did. Her incessant partying and insatiable appetites eventually resulted in her being hidden away.

In September 1998, a compilation of her least offensive works was produced by Haggishagger Publishing. It included the immortal and timeless "The Saga of The Highland Gent and His Comely Wife," the one-part "Song of the Gillies," and the good-natured "Ditty of Rob Roy." According to experts, a signed copy of this limited-edition compilation is worth nearly as much as the paper on which it's printed.

Since her disappearance, The Gudewife has lived in near-obscurity, eagerly awaiting a "Renaissance of the Bawdry" that she feels is long overdue.
